i want to travel the world.

I have always said that the place i feel most at home in the whole world is the international terminal of an airport, i love the feeling, i love the madness of late flights and the noise of families stressing.
At one point believe it or not an airport was my home. I was lucky enough to grow up with parents who chose travelling over staying in one place, we never stayed put for too long.
But half those places i don't remember..
I want to go backpacking and couch surf my way around the entire world.
I'm saving up every penny and plan on taking a trip somewhere in the coming 12 months. I don't want fancy hotels. I find hotels, as nice as they are, they are an international americanized barrier which separates travellers from the true culture of the country. I'm happy with staying in cheap hostels, and getting the most from my travelling experience.

I plan to backpack europe, go on an african safari, visit canada and roadtrip my way down the north american border visiting the us, mexico, into central america and following through down to south america. I plan on taking a ship to antarctica from the southern point of chile. Then spending some time visiting asia and immersing myself in the culture before returning to Australia and exploring the homeland.
